Requirements for tunnel attachments in the event of fire

Unfortunately, you can never completely rule out the risk of fire in a tunnel installation. However, preventive structural fire protection measures are absolutely necessary to keep the risk of personal injury and material damage as low as possible. These are based on extensive calculations and tests on the fire course and fire temperature.   • Fire protection clothing and other installations

    In tunnel construction, special requirements apply to fastening systems, especially when installing fire protection cladding, ventilation ducts and metal rails. The fischer FNA II nail anchor offers a reliable and safe solution for this. Manufactured from highly corrosion-resistant steel, tested according to ETA up to fire resistance class R 120 and additional fire resistance requirements according to fire load curves (e.g. ZTV-ING, RWS,…), the FNA II meets the highest requirements for safety, fire resistance and durability. With its easy through-mounting and automatic spreading mechanism, it ensures long-lasting and precise anchoring. This makes the FNA II particularly suitable for applications where robust fastening and compliance with fire safety regulations are required.

  • Chemical fastening solutions

    To anchor fans or overhead lines in tunnel construction, high-performance chemical fastening systems are used to withstand the dynamic loads due to vibrations of the application or from road or rail traffic permanently and safely.
    When installing tunnel fans, the injection system approved by fischer ETA, consisting of the injection mortar FIS HB and the special high-bond anchor FHB-A dyn, is used for secure anchoring of dynamic loads in cracked concrete.

Completion is planned for 2027.
